Call for Papers - JSIL 2026 Parallel Session: International Trade, Lessons and Prospects for Local Development

The WTO Chair at the University of Lomé, Togo, invites submissions for a parallel scientific session organized as part of the 21st International Scientific Days of Lomé (JSIL 2026), to be held from 6 - 9 October 2026. The session, themed “International Trade: Lessons and Prospects for Local Development,” will bring together researchers, academics, doctoral candidates, policymakers, development practitioners, and international experts to examine how current transformations in the global trading system are affecting African economies. Contributions are welcomed on topics including international trade and geoeconomic shifts, trade policy and structural transformation, development financing, regional integration, innovation, and the role of research in fostering sustainable and locally driven development. Submissions may take the form of research papers, scientific communications, policy notes, case studies, or methodological and conceptual works.

15 July 2026 – Submission deadline
15 August 2026 – Notification of acceptance
15 September 2026 – Registration fee payment deadline
